Weekend Highlights... 4th of July!

We had a rainy 4th of July weekend at the lake. It was still wonderful to relax and enjoy family time with both my family and Lee's family. 

This was Gage's first trip to Lake Martin, first trip to Wind Creek, first stay in a cabin, and first Fourth of July!

This is the best red, white, and blue we could find... When you're this darn cute, it doesn't matter!:)

We had a lot of cute visitors including these sweet girls. They kept him busy and entertained!

It stopped raining long enough for us to enjoy a boat ride. Of course, monkey fell asleep within minutes.

 One morning I woke up to someone standing up, peeking out the window... little stinker!

 We tried to have a little campfire but IT STARTED RAINING.... imagine that! I did get one s'more out of it though!

 Even in the rain, we had an amazing weekend full of memories, laughs, and exciting news. We are hoping to make this a Fourth of July tradition.

We came home a day early, due to RAIN!  Saturday night my parents came over to test out our BIG GREEN EGG! We had streaks and baked potatoes. My husband is on his way to being a grill master!

We enjoyed church this morning, had lunch a Baumhower's (it will always be Wings in my book;), ran some errands, drove through our favorite neighborhood, and we are grilling bacon wrapped chicken for round TWO on our green egg tonight!
