A SWEET BLOG AWARD for US!!

OUR FOREVER has been awarded the Liebster Award by a sweet blog friend, at Erika at Living Every Moment. I love getting these sweet awards, they make me feel so special!:) Thank you so much Erika!
Liebster is a German word and means, sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome. The award is given to followers with less than 200 followers. I feel so honored that she chose me! Thank you again:)

Erika gave me 11 questions to answer about myself:

1. What is your favorite blog to read?
I enjoy reading  so many blogs. Natasha at Hello! Happiness is one of my all time favorites though.
2. Why did you start blogging?
My blog started out as a wedding blog, then became about building a home, and now is mainly about our baby boy! But I try to blog a little about everything:)
3. What is your most embarrasing moment?
I was in 8th grade and walking by a guy I had a crush on. As we were walking up the stairs of my highschool someone stepped on my Birkenstock (Yes, Birkenstock) and I fell flat on my knees and of course books went flying. He helped me pick them up, but it was the end of the world to me. To add to my embarrassment, I was a cheerleader and we had a pep-rally that same day and  I had to sport two huge bruises during the pep-rally (Yes, he pointed out the bruises too;)
4. Who is your favorite author?
Being a teacher, I love children books. I don't really have a favorite though, I just love reading to my students.
5. What is one random thing about yourself that most people don't know?
 UMMM... I am a pretty open book and will tell you about anything.... Lets say, I'm left handed (BORING, I know) but that's all I got right now;)
6. How did you meet your spouse?
While working at a gym.... We were friends for about 2 years before going on our first date. I even tried to "set him up" with 3 other girls!
7. What is your favorite thing to do when you have me time?
Shop, get a mani/pedi, take a bath!
8. What would you say your biggest vice is?
My bad habit is popping my joints. I pop my fingers, back, neck, wrist, ankles, anything I can get to "pop" (Pretty gross, I know)
9. What is your favorite store to shop?
I love to shop a lot of places, but I will go with Kohls & Macy's (I am sort of a cheap shopper;) and  for home decorating: my favorite HOMEGOODS!
10.What year did you graduate high school?
2006!
11.How many children do you have and what are their names and ages?
One bun in  the oven!  Due in 3 weeks! His name is David "Gage" Pody!

36 Week Bumpdate! (WOW)

Excuse this pic... we just woke up from our Sunday nap and I remembered my bump picture!
Here we are 35 Weeks and 5 Days!

How Far Along?36 weeks TODAY!! (Cannot believe I just typed that!!)
 Size of Baby P? crenshaw melon (these people kill me!)
This week's major developments:
Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.
At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position. But if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.
(from www.babycenter.com)

Maternity Clothes? Of course! and Lee's t-shirts (which he says I am stretching;)
 Weight Gain?About 30 pounds... not gaining as much now, maybe I'm FINALLY reaching my peak!!
 Stretch Marks/belly button?Do not know how in the world my belly still does not have stretch marks but it doesn't! Applying lotion and oil religiously! Belly button still flat!
Gender?Momma's BOY!
Sleep?Continuing my 3-4 hours nightly ceiling stares!
Food Cravings?Milkshakes are still up there.... along with Milo's!
What I Miss? I have really been missing working out lately. I am excited to get back into a routine! Got my pinterest workout pinned and ready!!
What I am loving? Going to the doctor weekly.... I know that is strange, but it's exciting to see his progress. This time we were dilated a fingertip.... Never heard it put like that but we'll take it!
Movement? I think he thinks my cervix is a trampoline!haha It is a nightly thing that lasts hours!

Best Moment(s) of the Week and other random updates?

  • I have really been focusing my attention on getting my classroom prepared for my sub. It is ALMOST there! It is such a big job preparing for the year, but definitely worth it because things go much smoother the rest of the year! I am trying to get ahead and have everything together and organized so I can get home to my baby boy as quick as possible!
  • We are going to "Meet the Doctors" night at Birmingham pediatrics the first week in August. I am a little mad at myself for not doing this sooner, but looking forward to that and I have my questions prepared:)
  • Everything is officially marked off my baby list except installing the carseat (which will happen Friday) and building the highchair (of course not needed at first).
  • Hospital bags are ready and Mr. Pody even had a Hospital Bag 101 training last night along with a How to Operate the New Video Camera course!
  • Of course, a deep cleaning is about to take place around the Pody Household after a little fat, furry, gray cat gets groomed tomorrow!
I have some extras I would like to complete (my to-do lists are never ending by the way, I've been a list maker since I could write;) like planting new flowers in our front pots and finding a camera bag for my Nikon! But other than that....
WE ARE READY FOR OUR LITTLE MAN!!!!

HAVE A BLESSED EVENING!

Stay tuned for a couple of fun posts planned for this week!

Friday Favorites- LINK-UP

This little guy....

(You would never think you would be so in love with a picture that is burnt orange and quite scary, BUT I am;)

.....has been taking over the blog for a while now.
He's just so dang cute how could you help it!!
SO today is going to be a post on a few of Mommy's Favorite Things (No baby talk today;)

For starters, I just cannot bring myself to spend $80.00 on face wash and $150.00 on moisturizer. BUT I got THIS book.....

...which is full of great beauty tips.
From homemade facial treatments to what face cleansers that are worth the money and which are priced for the name brand.
It is FULL of awesome tips, I even keep it in my nightstand beside my bed:)

{Let's Talk MAKE-UP Brushes!}
My wonderful sister got me this set of brushes for Christmas two years ago and I absolutely LOVE them! They are the TOO FACED TEDDY BEAR BRUSHES. The hair is silky soft, they feel like real animal hair (BUT IT'S NOT!). It applies make-up very evenly and smooth.

She also got me the Too Faced Kabuki Brush... which I absolutely LOVE. I wear Bare Essentials make-up and it applies it a little thicker, which I prefer. I know a lot of people stay away from Bare Essentials b/c it it such a light make-up, but applying it with this brush gives you a little more coverage!
I have to be honest... it is a retractable brush, and mine broke! Disappointed, but I will still buy another one:)

 {Let's Talk Face Wash}

Like I said earlier, this is something I refuse to spend TOO much money on (Which was a tip in my handy beauty book;).
I was an Aveeno user for a couple of year but recently purchased YES TO CUCUMBER GENTLE MILK CLEANSER and so glad I did. It is very mild, almost the texture of lotion. It cleanses thoroughly and it is all natural. Another positive, it has a great smell!

{Let's Talk, Moisturizer}

While standing in Target and finally deciding on my cleanser, the moisturizer caught my eye. I went ahead and bought it as well and once again, I am pleased. It is a light moisturizer and does not leave you feeling greasy at all. I have noticed my make-up applying much smoother as well.
Next time, I will be getting the night time moisturizer as well:)

 {Let's Talk Lazy Nights}
By that I mean the nights you are exhausted and just cannot find the energy to FULLY wash your face. Gross, I know... it is rare, but there are nights after teaching 24 little 8 year olds that you are exhausted, and these little jewels come in handy! (I see me using these more often in my near future, when I come home to a little boy after teaching all day;)

{Let's Talk Hair}

I have tried the expensive shampoos and conditioners and honestly my hair styles badly. I recently saw a post on JOHN FRIEDA'S SHEER BLONDE and went out and bought it shortly after.
I know I am in the third trimester of pregnancy, which they say can result in healthy hair but I can give a little credit to these keepers!
My hair styles well and it stays styled longer. My hair is very fine, and usually during the summer walking outside in the ALABAMA humidity for 10 minutes causes it to frizz and go flat, but it has improved a lot since using these products. Inexpensive and worth a try!

That's all I have today, hope you enjoyed!

Go share your favorites and LINK-UP with Lindsey at Bargain Blonde!
(You will LOVE her :)

34 Week Bumpdate!

 34 Weeks & 4 days

 34 Weeks & 5 days

How Far Along?We are 34 Weeks and 5 days!!!
 Size of Baby P? cantaloupe
This week's major developments:
Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.(from www.babycenter.com)
Maternity Clothes? Of course!
 Weight Gain? Going to doctor tomorrow (Monday)!
 Stretch Marks/belly button?Same
Gender?Momma's BOY!
Sleep?Still waking up 3 hours a night! Thank goodness I'm a teacher and can sleep in a little!
Food Cravings?I am loving milkshakes! Chik-Fil-A and Jacks are my favorite!
What I Miss? Everyone asks if I am miserable, and honestly I'm not. Of course, my belly is HUGE but I definitely would not say miserable. And the heat hasn't been as bad as I imagined, probably because I do not stay outside for long periods of time. Luckily, no swelling yet!
What I am loving? How many things we have marked off of our TO-DO list! Our list is almost complete and daddy is even doing some extra things around the house!
Movement? Yes and often jabs me in my bladder, almost making me fall to the floor. I am feeling a lot of pressure down low. Sill no Braxton Hicks at all (IS THIS NORMAL?!? )
